Beardsicle

Jan 15 2009 Published by Kyle under Uncategorized

This morning, like most mornings, I took a shower. Fact: Even though you may think you’ve thoroughly dried your post-shower beard, said beard will probably retain some water.

As I was riding my bike to class in sub-zero weather, I noticed that every time I moved my face, my beard felt like it was cracking.

I had a beardsicle.

Some good friends, Eric and Ashley, got married a few months ago, and being part of their day was great. Here are some of my favorite shots. Chad Watson also documented such wonderful history.

Flat Tire

I had a flat tire today, and it was a little more eventful than I thought it would be. I just wish I had my camera on me. All in all, think I learned enough to give you some tips on changing a flat.

Tip 1: If your car seems to be unusually bumpy when you pull out of a driveway, don’t drive a couple blocks and almost swerve into someone’s yard before you check if you have a flat tire.

Tip 2: Jacking up your car on a downhill may result in said car falling off of said jack.

Tip 3: You should be sure you have the necessary tools in your car for fixing a flat. Like a screwdriver. Alright, seriously? Who includes a tool kit in the trunk of a car with every needed tool for changing a flat except the screwdriver necessary to take off an unexpected plate that covers the lugs?

Tip 4: If you know you have a spare tire, you might want to ensure that said spare tire actually has more than 8 pounds of pressure in it before you put it on the car that is likely to fall of its jack since it is jacked on a downhill. You may end up nearly popping your spare tire, too.

Tip 5: If you fail to have a properly inflated spare tire, you might want to add a bike pump to your (previously stated) incomplete tool kit. You may end up running home to procure such a device so the weight of your downhill-jacked-car doesn’t nearly pop a hole into your spare tire as it falls of its jack.

I was looking through a wedding I shot last summer, and with it being my first wedding, I had a lot of learning to do. But I did find some shots I really like. Here are a couple.

My dad and I took a bike ride today while I ran an errand. We’re pointing and laughing at my Uncle Marty, who lives in Rochester, MN. Haha, Uncle Marty.
